‘A FUN STORY’ with Karen and Julie
After 19 years working in PreSchool Ruth has decided to retire - We will all miss her and wish her a healthy and happy retirement 💕
Jaime has decided to take some time out to be at home with her family and will not be returning to PreSchool after her maternity leave. We wish Jaime all the very best as she enjoys her time at home with her lovely family 💕

20th June 2020
Dear Parents & Pre-Schoolers
As we approach the last few days of this unusual year of Pre-School we want to thank all our parents for their amazing support all year. We have enjoyed getting to know you and your child and hopefully you will all have many happy memories of friends made and the fun times we have had from September. It is always a pleasure to observe children throughout their time with us and see them develop their confidence, personalities and so many skills and talents.
Thank you to everyone who has already completed and returned the transition form and I will be meeting with relevant Year 1 teachers over the next few weeks and sharing your child's observations and records with them.
Thank you for the photos you have sent of your child for our 'Graduation From Pre-School Gallery' - they all seem to have grown so much since we last saw them!! We hope you enjoy seeing everyone again on this page.
This week I will be talking to the children online about moving on to the various Primary Schools and will read a related story about starting school. There will be a final fun story read as a duet towards the end of the week.
I would like to take this opportunity of behalf of all Pre-School staff, parents and children to thank Mrs Watson (our Primary School secretary) who has been keeping our webpage up-to-date and so well presented - all those photos, updates, videos all added by her and without her expertise it would not have been possible - A HUGE THANK YOU FROM ALL OF US.
We wish all our children and parents a safe and happy summer and wish your child happiness as they embark on the next stage of their lives in Primary School.
Best Wishes
From Julie, Karen, Ruth, Wendy, Joanne, Lorraine, Jaime & Caitlin

‘Marathon Challenge for Tiny Life NI charity supporting premature babies and their families’
Dear Parents
We invite all our PreSchool children and their families to join with us in a challenge !!! -
Monday 4th May was planned to be the Belfast Marathon (26 miles or 42.2k) and our challenge is that each child and their families walk 1k on Monday 4th May - collectively we would walk over 42k - our own Marathon effort 😀 and in doing this we can fundraise for ‘TinyLife’ - the NI charity to support premature babies and their parents.

Dear Parents - on behalf of all of us I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who are part of our amazing NHS team, our local chemist and their team, to the shopkeepers, delivery drivers and farmers who are ensuring we have fresh food, to the postal workers, the refuse collection workers and to all the folk out there who are still working and ensuring we have access to essential services. Thank you also to the teachers and supporting staff who are working remotely to support parents with home schooling and to our local volunteers who are delivering medication and groceries to the elderly and vulnerable - you have been amazing 😀
The community spirit in Dromara and our local area has been so encouraging as we cope with these unprecedented times.
IMPORTANT - Please remember if you are a Key Worker parent with no alternative to childcare and are planning to send you child to PreSchool on Monday 20th April - you need to contact me by Friday 17th April.
Wishing you all a safe and Happy Easter
Julie

Our pre-school has been providing pre-school care and education for children within the village and surrounding area for over 30 years. Closely linked with our primary school and other local primary schools, our aim is to work in partnership with parents to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children where they will have equal opportunities to learn through a play based curriculum as devised by the Education Board. The pre-school is registered with the Down Lisburn Social Services Trust and The Early Years Organisation. A recent inspection carried out by the Education Board's ETI awarded us an "Outstanding" in all areas. (Details of this inspection can be found on the ETI website: CLICK HERE)
