16/8/20 - Unfortunately, we cannot hold these clubs as present. Parents will be informed as soon as these are able to resume.
To ensure the smooth running of the Clubs, places need to be pre-booked and bookings will only be accepted with the appropriately completed booking slip and payment. The slips can be found in 'downloadable forms' section. Staff cannot accept cash handed to them and verbal instructions. Bookings should be made on a Thursday or Friday before 12 noon for the following week or a month in advance. If we are informed that a child will be absent, the session can be carried over. However, if a child does not 'turn up' for a session, we cannot offer a refund.
All money should be sent into school with your child in a clearly labelled envelope with the child’s name, class, amount and activity. Money envelopes are available to purchase from school, 20p for 10. Cheques for clubs should be made payable to 'Dromara Primary School'.
We adhere to strict pupil/supervisor ratio.
Morning Club
Morning Club opens at 8.00 am and breakfast is served until 8.20 am.
Pupils should enter through the sports hall doors.
Please do not assume that a place is available – places must be booked in advance. We cannot exceed our child/supervisor ratio and will have to turn children away if a Club is full. If you need a place in an emergency, please accompany your child to Club to enquire if a place is available. We will do our best to accommodate you, but if a Club is full, we cannot accept extra children. DO NOT JUST DROP A CHILD OFF AT SCHOOL.
Afternoon Club
There are 3 sessions for Afternoon Club: 2-3 pm, 3-4 pm and 4-4.50 pm.
Children will be accompanied from class/extra-curricular activity to the Club.
We ask that you pick up your child promptly at the end of their session. For example, we have encountered problems were children due to be picked up at 3 pm have not been collected on time and we have had insufficient space for pupils who are booked to come to the Club at 3 pm. Activities may also be organised around session times.
Also, please remember that supervisors are looking after children and are not available for a conversation. If you have a query or concern, please contact the school office.
If you require an emergency place for Afternoon Club, please contact the school office before 12.30 pm. We cannot guarantee that any messages after that time will be picked up and you will need to make alternative arrangements for your child.
